Tho officials tried to remove them, but tho Primate (Dr Davidson) peremptorily forbade interference with them, owing to tho uproar. A representative Church Council, consisting of members of tho two Houses of Convocation of Canterbury and York, together with the Houses of Laymen, by over a two to one majority, granted to women tho right to vote and sit on parochial councils. KING AND QUEEN IN SCOTLAND. AN EXCITING EPISODE. LONDON, July 10. An exciting episode occurred during the King and Queen’s motoring in Perth. Rhoda Fleming, a suffragette, climbed on to the footboard of the car, and attempted to break a window. Two police sprang to the car and seized tho woman. A score of mounted troops were required to rescue Fleming from an angry mob.
