Hobbs, Tarrant and J. W. Hearne were dismissed for 12 runs. Hitch and Strudwick scored 122 for the last wieket in an hour. Lancashire has unearthed a new medium-paced bowler in Parkin. Playing against Leicestershire, he took seven wickets for 65 runs in the first innings and six in tho second innings, which was unfinished. Playing against Hampshire, the new man took six wickets for 14 runs; Kennedy secured four for 19. Hirst has completed his thousand runs in first-class cricket this season. (Received July 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 11. In tho match Gentlemen v. Players, Gentlemen scored 237, Spooner 71; Players lost three wickets for 143 runs. (Received July 13, 0.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 12. The Players scored 302 for six wickets, when tho innings was declared. Gentlemen, 151. Eton defeated Harrow by four wickets.
