Commenting on tho Paris paper, “L’Hommo Libre’s” suggestion that France should exchange her interest in the New Hebrides for the Mauritius, the “Daily Telegraph” says: “It would give France a handsome bargain. The Commonwealth would welcome British ownership of the entire group, but would scarcely expect the Imperial Government to buy the French out at ,the price the Mauritius represents.”
