The New Zealand contingent today headed a procession of the Salvation Army past the offices of the Canadian Pacific Company, which are kept open continuously in order that inquirers may obtain news of the disaster. The procession was accompanied by a band playing the hymn “For those in Peril on the Sea.” MOURNERS’ LONG VIGIL. B/ Telegraph—Press Association— CopyrlgM (Received June 1. 7.40 p.ra.) LONDON, June 1. The Canadian Pacific offices in London were again besieged all day long yesterday by a crowd of sorrowful inquirers. Every new list of names posted at the entrance was eagerly scanned. During the afternoon the celebrated silver band belonging to the Regent’s Hall branch of the Salvation Army marched past. playing the hymn “Eternal Father, Strong to Save.” The band was accompanied by the New Zealand contingent that iis attending London for the International Conference. The shipping company’s officials stood in the doorway with bowed heads as the procession passed. Subsequently the Salvationists held a memorial meeting in the vicinity, •New Zealanders addressing the mourners.
