The Otaki Anglicans have every reason to ho well pleased with their social (concert and dance), held at Bright’s Theatre last night. Notwithstanding a bitterly cold, wintry night, with rain threatening, there was a very good audience, the dress circle being packed, and there being a good sprinkling on the ground floor. Everything /passed off mos;) successfully, and as a result, a good snm will bo available for the church improvement fund.

Cheese-making at To Horo factory has been discontinued, but work at the factory continues brisk, over 700 gallons of milk being separated there on alternate days. Although, of course, the supply has come down considerably of late, a good quantity of milk null continue to be handled at the factory, in spite of the largo amount being dispatched direct to Wellington. The season has been a remarkably good one for dairy farmers throughout the district, and at Tc Horo the output of the cheese factory has boon more than double that of the previous year.

Tile infant child of Mr and Mrs Sid. Whiloy, of Ohau, died on Sunday night last. Tho funeral took placo yesterday afternoon, when the remains were interred at tho Otaki Native Mission cemetery.
