NEW FREEZING WORKS

A largely attended meeting of farmer's and residents of Marton to-day unanimously accepted the proposal of the Wellington -Meat Export Company to erect supplementary works, providing that 10,000 shares were allotted. the settlers of the district to fix on a site. A proviso was added that the works he erected upon the most suitable site between Kakariki and Marton Junction. A strong canvassing committee was elected to canvass the district for support.
