SOLO WINS THE BRIGHTON HANDICAP. DERBY FALLS TO ADMIRAL WOOD. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, May 16. Tho weather was very cold and cheerless for tho second day of the New Brighton Trotting Club’s autumn meeting, but there was a very good attendance. The investments for the two days were £29,570, as compared with £27,850 last year. Admiral Wood was going along well in front when the straight was reached and won with the greatest of ease hy ten lengths from Evelyn, who was twelve lengths in front of Edith A.
