Lieutenant Lord . Congleton, who has received permission from Sir Ernest Shackleton to accompany the British Antarctic expedition., is a Grenadier Guardsman, aged 24. He succeeded his father as 6th haron a little over seven, rears ago, when lie tvas at Eton. He comes of a military family, the late Lord f'onglcton having served with distinction in the Crimea and Zulu campaigns.
