Tliis morning broke dull. Tlio going was still on the heavy side, and most of the track exercise was confined to sprints and slow work. Want and Chakwana galloped five furlongs in Imin 6 l-osec, the former finishing in front. Microbe sprinted four furlongs in 40sec. Okahu went once round in 2miu ssec. Pariform and Bertrada covered six furlongs in Imin ISJsec, the colt being in front at the finish. Kooya left four furlongs behind in 53sec. Sir Knox easily accounted for Rigo Park over five furlongs in Imin Gsec. Ladoga, assisted by Princess Moutoa over the last three
furlongs, covered six furlongs m Imm Its l-osec, the Cup horse moving well. Downham, Ringform, and Queen line finished in that order at tho end of four furlongs in 53fsec. Hurakia re* corded 53tsec for a sprint over four furlongs. Expect moved attractively over a useful round. Darby Paul-and Fliugot gave a good over tho hurdles. Sea Pink went a circuit in 2min Isec, iimshing well, lootball and Dame Rumour sprinted four furlongs in 53sec. Postillion covered six furlongs in Imin lOsec, Merry Roe, Bleriot, and others did slow work. Tho weather promises to be fine- .. Maku, Whakxhoki, and Hiwitapu have been scratched foi" nil engagements, and Otahu for the Cup. .
Multiply and Cherubini were scratched to-day for the Cup.
