IMPROVED RELATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copj right WASHINGTON, February 8.. There has been a notable improvement in the relations between the United States and Japan. It is believed to be through the passage of the Burnett Immigration Bill. Reports from Tokio state that a profound impression was caused by tho refusal of the House of Representatives to include in tho bill the prohibition against the entry of Japanese. It is now hoped that a satisfactory adjustment of all issues between the two Governments will bo reached. AN ASIATIC MEASURE. WASHINGTON, February 8. Despite the attitude of tho House of Representatives, at the instance of Mr Bryan (Secretary of State), in relinquishing the anti-Asiatic legislation, Mr) Baker insists on securing the hearing of his Aisiatic measure. The House is likely, therefore, to consider the measure on Thursday next.
