AND SUNDAY DUTY. Press Association. DUNEDIN. February 10. At to-day’s meeting of the Dunedia Presbytery the Rev. A. Whyte, on behalf of the Committee on. Sabbath Observance reported, with regard to the question of Sunday employment of policemen, that the Inspector of Police had stated that the present leave which was allowed to ti policeman—one Sunday in four off duty—was the maximum which the strength of the force would permit. The Presbytery decided to memorialise the Minister for Justice requesting that fuller facilities be given to policemen for enjoying the freedom of the Sabbath Day.
