ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
THE “ BOGUS LORD ” TO BE CHARGED.
The man Evelya Vine Kidson, ah leged to be the bogus lord who led an adventurer’s life in San Francisco recently for a gay, short while, will bo before the Magistrate's Court this morning. It will. be remembered that Kidson, when arrested on the R.M.S. Aorangi, on her arrival from San Francisco a fortnight ago, had to bo taken to the hospital, as ho had apparently taken lysol. Ho has been in the institution ever since, but has now recovered sufficiently to stand his trial. Kidson is charged with having obtained £8 10s from Schneidemaun. Bros., at Hamilton, by false pretences, through the medium of a valueless cheque for £lO. This morning, however, he will be also charged with having attempted to commit suicide on board the Aorangi on the day of her arrival here.
