From Sydney direct the Federal-Shire liner ''Nairnshire is due at Waitara on the 23rd instant. The vessel will commence loading at the latter port for West of England, and will proceed thonco to Wanganui roadstead, .Gisborne, Auckland, and Wellington. At this port the liner is due about March 10th, and will sail op March 14th for Avonmoutb via Laa Palmaa. AYRSHIRE’S PROGRAMME. I’ho next A. and A. Line steamer to leave Now York will sail on March 2nd. WAIMANA FROM LONDON. Tho Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Waimana, which arrived in the stream on tho previous night from London via Auckland, berthed yesterday morning at the King’s wharf. On the run down from Auckland tho liner averaged 13 knots and made the trip in under 42 hours. Tho Waimana is to sail from Wellington to-morrow afternoon for Timsru with remainder of cargo.

STAR OF AUSTRALIA. The Typer liner Star of Australia is to Jeavo Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day for Wanganui roadstead for Hpineward loading. THE RUAPEHU FROM HOME. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruapehu, which arrived in tho stream at AVellington at 2.30 o’clock yes. terday morning from London, was granted pratique and berthed at No. 1, south, Quean’s 'wharf, at 8.10 o’clock yesterday morning. The Ruapehu left London on December 19th, and excepting a south-westerly rale in the Bay of Biscay, line conditions were expoidenced until arrival at Tencrifle on Christmas Day. Tho voyage was resumed on the following day. Fins weather lasted till arrival at Capetown on January 11th, with fresh northeasterly aiul south-easterly trades. 'The Ruapehu left Capetown on January 13th, and encountered fresh west-poiith-weE-terlv and west-north-westerly winds which occasionally increased to a gale.At about the longitude of Cape Leeuwin a strong easterly gale was experienced which delayed the vessel. Tho liner arrived at Hobart on the 3rd inst., and after discharging 1033 tons of cargo the last stage of tlio voyage was commenced last Thursday.
