DAY’S BAY

Tn, our advertising columns today aptieare an advertisement announcing that the whole of the unsold land owned by the Wellington Steam Ferries Co., Ltd., will he offered for sale by public auction by Messrs Wm. H Turnbull and Co., early in March. This land includes the G2O acres of magnificent native bush which the Government and the City Council were asked to assist in purchasing for a national scenic reserve. The pavilion and tho land surrounding it will also be sold, the land having a frontage of some 430 feet. There arc also sixteen sections on the flat between Day’s Bay House and the pavilion. These sections are stated to be the most beautifully situated in ■the bay. In addition there are some fifty sections, part hilly and part flat, 'most of which have native bush upon thom. and all of which co-mmnd views of the harbour. Plans of the sections are now being prepared and will be available in a few days. Tho terms of sale are 10 per cent, deposit, with 5 per cent, in three, six, nine and twelve months, balance in five years from date of purchase. Messrs Wm. H. Trunbull and Co. will be pleased to supply plans and further particulars on application.
