REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE FIGURES. The strike did not make so much difference to the tramway revenue as might have been expected, and this is shown in the latest returns prepared by the tramway board. The figures for the four weeks ended December Bth, with comparative figures for last year, are as follow: —

The item “special expenditure” this year includes the following works and appropriations:—Alterations to oars, relaying feeder cables, horse tramway sinking fund, contribution to carnival fund, band instruments. The power supply statistics for the expired portion of the financial year are as follow :
