FARM LABOURERS

TO BE ORGANISED UNDER ARBITRATION ACT.

Steps are being taken to organise the farm labourers throughout New Zealand, and obtain a registered award under the Arbitration Act. The movement will begin in the Wellington district, and is the outcome of the Government bringing men from the conntry to WeUington to work the wharves and the employers forming them into arbitration unions. This, it' is contended by Labour men, goes to prove the farmer has changed his views in regard to the Arbitration Act, and, therefore, is willing to allow His employees to register an industrial union.
