ARBITRATION BILL
CONDEMNED BY OTAGO WORKERS. Press Association. DUNEDIN, October 22. At a representative meeting of members of the various industrial unions of workers held here this evening the following resolution was unanimously carried:—“That this meeting of unionists enters its most emphatic protest against the _ Industrial, Conciliation and Arbitration Act introduced by the Hon. W. F. Massey (Minister for Labour) being passed into law, and urges all members of Parliament to strenuously oppose the measure.” The meeting was addressed by Messrs R. Breen, R. Slater, and J. D. Smith, each of whom attacked vigorously the various clauses that were deemed unpalatable to workers.
