FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. A mooting of the Society for the Prevention ot Cruelty to Animals was held in Mr J. D. Avery s rooms on Tuesday evening, Mr H. \\ Weub presiding. The inspector reported several cases of alleged crueitv and neglect of api a.ms. fVnstiOiuKms were ordered in eases where sufficient ev.deneo was forthcoming.
It was decided to secure a stable as soon as ui ssime -or tne housing of hotscs receiving treatment by the society.
