AUSTRIAN DREADNOUGHT
DAMAGED DURING GUN TRIALS. By Telegraph —Prose Association —Copyright (Sydney "Sun" Special Gabled 1 (Received July 16, 7.20 p.m.) VIENNA, July 16. The Austrian Dreadnought Tegetthoff, which has just been placed in commission, has been damaged during gun trials. The vessel, which was laid down in 1910 and launched on March 12th of last year, is the second of the four battleships of the Virilus Umtis class. She has a displacement of 20,000 tons, and mounts twelve 12in guns in four turrets on the middle line, so placed that six can fire astern and sis ahead, and the whole twelve on the broadside.
