A yearly return to March 31st, shows that 407,729 Britishers left the United Kingdom for places out of Europe, including Canada 185,349, Australia and New Zealand 92,629, and United States 94,176.
Sixty per cent, of the males were aged between eighteen and thirty years, of whom skilled trades represented thirty-two per cent., labourers, twenty-five per cent., agriculturist* nineteen percent., and commercial and professional people fifteen per cent. Immigrants to Great Britain totalled. 71,275 in the same period.
