TUESDAY, J.ULY 16. (Before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M.)

George Everson was charged with tho theft of one pair of hoofs, valued at £1 3s 6d, the property of Messrs Bates and Lees.

Everson was also charged tjith stealing one bicycle, valued at £B, the property of Francis Fear. He pleaded guilty to both offences, and was remanded till the 23rd inst. for sentence. Clare Grundwell was fined 5s for insobriety. For importuning, Ruby Kirk was sent to prison for one month. For stealing two carriage-lamps, valued at 1,5 s 6d, the property of Constantine Walsh, George Bowden was committed to fourteen days’ imprisonment.

Duncan Cruickshank was charged on remand with intent to do grievous bodily harm to David Fisher by discharging a firearm. A further remand was granted till July 23rd.
