Prices were unchanged. There were only small offerings of Australian, and Wew Zealand wools.

For the wool sales 166.000 bales were catalogued, and 63,000 sold for the Homo maiket. i>41,000 for the Continent, and 2000 for America, 65,000 being held over. The market showed great irregularity for slipes and medium crossbreds, but there was a steady, consistent demand for merinos and coarse crossbreds, with au occasionally upward tendency for shafty merinos and good scoured compared with tho May series. The tendency for faulty aud short wools has been in buyers’ favour. New Zealand sooureds advanced 5 per cent. There were largo withdrawals uf fin* and medium crossbreds, which declined 5 per cent. Meriuos were to small supply, and .good lots sold at fancy prices. Tho following prices were realised for the fleece portions of the clips named: Langridge. top price lid, average lOJd; Amarama, 11 Jd. 16? d.

Ltd., received the following cablegram from London, dated 15th inst.“ The sales closed with good competition; 106,000 bales ol wool were gold at the wool sales. 41,000 of which wore taken for the Continent and 2030 for America; 05,000 bales were held over. Quotations are unchanged since last advices." Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., have been advised by cable from London, daler 15th inst. of the following information in regard to tiie close of the July series, of sales: —“The tales closed with fairly animated competition, but lately reported rates are hardly maintained except merino wools of good quality and condition. where any change is in sellers' favour. Merino short and wasty wools 5 per cent, lower. Inferior and faulty scoured 5 per cent lower. Crossbred wools, fine and medium quality. 3 per cent, lower. Coarse, good stylo light and clean, unchanged. Coaree, dingy and ootted 5 per cent.- lower. Crossbred scoured 5 per cent, lower. Crossbred slipos 5 per cent lower. Lambs unchanged. The above comparison is made with the closing rates of the last series. The not quantitv of wool available amounted to 176,000 bales. There were sold to America 2000 liales, taken for Homo consumption 68.000 bales, bought for the Continent 41.000 bales, and earned forward 65.600 bales."
