VALLANCE COOK MISSION

A large attendance was present .in the Wesley Church, Taranaki street, yesterday evening, when the Rev. and Mrs Vallance Cook continued their mission services. Two numbers of Alexander’s hymns were rendered by tho united choir. Then Mr Cook took charge, and after prayer by the Rev. J. G. Chapman gave a reading of the Scriptures, with crisp and illuminating illustrations. Mrs Cook then addressed the gathering, choosing for her subject Luke xv., 1-7; “The shepherd seeking the one lost sheep.” The succeeding appeal for definite decisions resulted in a number of responses. This, afternoon the mission will hold a special meeting, for Indies. At 7.30 p.m. a procession will be held, headed by th» Central Mission Band, commencing al John street, Newtown.
