FRENCH CELEBRATION IN f SYDNEY. By Totestraph—Press Association—Copyright SYDNEY, July 15. French residents yesterday celebrated France’s national day. Three hundred persons of various nationalities attended a reception held by the Acting-Con-sul-General, M. Peron. [The first French Revolution commenced on July 14th, 1789, with the fall of the Bastille. The 14th is, therefore, recognised os the National Day in France.] REVIEW IN FRANCE. (Received July 15, 10.30 p-m.) PARIS. July 15. African and Asiatic troops figured for the first time in the Fourteenth of July review at Longchamps. M. Poincare, the President, presented them with the colours.
