A meeting of the Johnsonvxlle Town Board was held last evening. Commissioner Moore presided, and there were present Messrs May, Thompson, Lawrence, Jerusalem, Parker, and Angel. The board appointed Mr Townhill as ranger for the district. The town clerk was directed to make the necessary arrangements for the coming Harbour Board election. A letter from the local Rugby club making application for the recreation ground for the coming season was held over until next meeting. In reply to complaints made regarding the charge for sanitary rates, although no service was given, the clerk was instructed to state that as it was a rate the board had no power to make any exemption, b-.vb that the rate would cease on February 28th. The board decided to fence m the water supply catchment area, and in conjunction with adjoining owners to call for tenders for the fencing.
