VALEDICTORY

SALVATION ARMY OFFICERS “MOVE ON.” At the Salvation Army Citadel last evening a farewell “social” was tendered by the Army to Adjutant and Mrs Gnnn, who are about to transfer to Christchurch, and to Captain Canty, who transfers to Auckland. _ Musical items were contributed by Sister Cunningham, Misses Collins, Cunningham (2), and the Army band gave two selections. Brigadier Carmichael, as chairman, and Major Hoare delivered valedictory addresses, which were responded to by Adjutant and Mrs Gnnn and Captain Canty. The chairman, in referring’ to the good work of the past year reported that the balancesheet showed that £2463 had been collected during the twelve months. At the conclusion supper was served.
