OBITUARY
LORD WHITBURGH. LONDON, August 1. The death has occurred, as the result of a paralytic stroke, of Lord Whitburgh, formerly Sir Thomas Boothwick, Bart., who was raised to the peerage in June last. lord Whitburgh was head of the colonial merchant firm of Thomas Borthwlck and Sons, and was seventy-seven years of age. Though never in Parliament he took a keen interest in politics as a Liberal. TTla heir is his son Thomas, born In 1874.
