. TUBS ASSOCIATION. TIMAEU, August 3. At' the Mackenzie County Council to> day a strong complaint was made regarding the unequal valuations of the Tekapo Biding, (Mackenzie Country pastoral runs). It was stated that in the case of some small runs equal in carrying capacity some were assessed at twice the capital value of the others, the only reason suggested being that the valuation was based on rentals not values, the higher assessments being runs lot by auction, while the lower were those let by ballot at Land Board rents. • Tho chairman 'will bo visiting Wellington shortly and trill see tho heads of thedepartment about, the matter.
