GOLD STEALEE CONVICTED. PRESS ASSOCIATION. EEEPTON, August 2. Power, who was arrested for gold-stealing at B : g Elver, was sentenced to a fine nf £lO or two months. Power came nn from the work to the pay office with his coat pockets' full of stone. The mine manager had brushed against bis pockets in the ■mine, and ordered Power, on being paid, to empty out the stone, which was valuedat. £2. Accused admitted taking it as specimens. and saw no harm in it.
