MOTION OF CONDOLENCE IN HOUSE OF COMMONS.

LONDON, July 31. _ Tho Prime Minister, Mr Asquith, in the House of Commons, moved a motion of condolence with the people of Japan on the death of the Emperor Mutsu-hito. He emphasised the remarkable changes that had taken place during the reign. The alliance with Britain, he said, rested on a firm and enduring foundation. Tho leader of the Opposition, Mf Bonar Law, seconded the motion, whic. was carried unanimously. (Received August 2, 0.35 a.m.) LONDON, August 1. In the House of Lords yesterday.
