DROWNED IN A CREEK. GISBORNE, July 29. The body of a young man discovered in Waikanae creek has been identified as that of Ivan McDonald, shearer, recently working at Ruakituri station. Ho come to town on Wednesday, the 17th, and was last seen on Wednesday Uet at 9 p.m. How he got into tho creek is a mystery. Deceased was a native of Australia, and was twenty-eight years of age. Ho was only known locally as McDonald, hut real name being Robert Warren Lang.
