The liotorua left Napier at 10 o’clock last night for AVeliington. where she is due about 5 p.m. to-day. The vessel will berth at the Glasgow wharf to complete Homeward loading, ami will sail at noon on Tuesday for London via porta. Ihc Aorere, whuh left Wellington at 12.15 p.m. ypstorday for Patch, was compelled to put back to the wharf a couple of hours later owing to stress of weather. The Arawa, which left Wellington on June 13th lor London, arrived at Thymoutn last Wednesday morning. Mr D. A. Bannatyne and Co. are the local agents. For some two years past the Chamber of Commerce at Launceston and the Traders* Association have made several representations to the Union Company for a more up-to-date and larger vessel than the Wakatipu. Mr Val Johnson, the Victorian manager for the Union Company, recently stated to a Chamber of Commerce delegate that the matter had not been *ost sight of by the company, and an improvement would be made at tho earliest opnorl unity.
