RAIN AND STORM
ON NEW SOUTH WALES COAST. (Received July 25, 9.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. Rain is falling incessantly. Over seven inches have been registered in Sydney in the past ten days. There is a recurrence also of, the heavy weother lately prevailing along the coast, and shipping is sheltering. At Ulladulla, bn the South Coast, the steamers Balbowrie and Sea Gull broke from their moorings and drifted ashore.
HOPE FOR OVERDUE VESSEL WANES. (Received July 25, 11.40 p.m.)
SYDNEY July 25. There is no trace yet or the coastal sailer Candidate, and the worst is feared. Her crew, consisted of Mills (captain), Maoarthur (mate), Afman, and Kalseneck (seamed), and Cooper (cook). . . .. *
