FIVE MILLIONS FOR THREE MONTHS’ SUPPLY. (Received July 25, 9.10 p.m.) SYDNEY. July 25. In the Legislative Assembly to-day the Treasurer, Mr A. Ci Carmichael, introduced a Supply Bill to cover three months. The amount is over £5,000,000, and provides, among other items, for the expenses of the Government brick, lime, and blue metal works.
SPEAKER WILLIS WOULD RAISE OWN SALARY. (Received July 25, 11.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. The Speaker, Sir Willis, proposes an increase of his own salary from £j.oto £ISOO, and in Air Meagher’s (Chairman of Committees) from £750 to £IOOO.
ADJOURNED. (Received July 26, 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. ■ln the Assembly this evening the Premier, Mr McGowen, secured an adjournment to give Mr Wade, who is still ill, a chance to open the debate on the Address-in-Reply.
