OWNERSHIP OF LAKE ROTOEUAThe hearing was continued in the Court of Appeal yesterday of the case in which Tamihana Korokai, of Botorna (on behalf of himeelf and others) was the plaintiff and the Solicitor-General ihe defendant. On the bench were their Honors Sir Robert Stout (Chief Justice), Sir Joshua Williams, Mr Justice Edwards, Mr Justice Chapman, and Mr Justice Cooper. Mr C. P. Skerrett, K.C., with him Mr C. B. Morison and G. H. Fell, appeared for the plaintiff?, and the Solicitor-Gene-ral, with him Mr H. H. Ostler, appeared in his own behalf. The case concerned the rights of certain natives in respect to Lake Boterna, and to what extent, and is wbst manner (if at all) the Treaty of Waitengl secured to the natives their right# to the lake or its bed. Legal argument had not cod eluded wnon the court adjourned, till 10.30 n.m* today.
