INVITED IN NEW ZEALAND.

LONDON MONEY MARKET NOT FAVORABLE. MESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, July 23. , Tenders are being invited by the Auckland City Council for the first instalment of £25,000 of the streets improvement loan of £225,000, authorised a year ago. The chairman of the city finance committee (Mr A- J. Entrican) explained to-day that the condition of the London money market is not at present favorable for the floating of a large municipal loan, and it has therefore been decided to raise £25,000 in New Zealand to cover the cost of paving four streets, with which the improvement scheme is being commenced. The contracts for this portion of the scheme amount to approximately £13,600
