COLLEGE DANCE

A‘very bright and successful dance (was: held by the prefects and boarders of'the Wellington College on Friday evening last. The affair took place in the large hall of the new building, which, together with the supper-room and draw-ing-room. was prettily decorated with palms, lycopodium and flags, the college colors being cleverly arranged with duo prominence. The Boor was good, and the music of Hr Kenny's orchestra inspiriting, while the role of hostess was excellently filled by Mrs Renner, who wore a handsome gojra' of black, velvet and point lace. Mrs "Ward was in., black lace with'tunic of black net; Mrs Morpeth, maize satin veiled with black Chantilly lace; Mrs Gifford, black satin and Viennese lace; Mrs Smithson, black lace.

The committee, consisting of Messrs F. Joplin, J. W. Stainton, H. H. Smith, and W. S. Johnson, also came in for a very hearty appreciation of Their able management.
