LOAN FOR CHINA
NATIONAL SUBSCRIPTION URGED.
SYDNEY, July 22. At a meeting of Chinese merchants it was decided to subscribe £6OOO to China’s national loan. A similar amount will be subscribed by the nation, thus enabling China to retain ter independence.
