FACILITIES FOR STORING AND HANDLING MEAT. LONDON, July 18. The Port of London Authority has arranged to raise its cold storage accommodation to take., a total of 1.100.000 carcases. The scheme will enable a further 250.000 carcases to be stored in, the Albert Dock, where the additional arirangements include discharge direct from the ships’ holds into insulated sorting sheds, thus avoiding undue handling. The exposure of the meat to high temperature during discharge is also reduced to the minimum.
