FASHIONABLE WEDDING AT MASTERTON

SPECIAL TO in "TIMES." MASTERTON, July 11. A fashionable wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew's Church this afternoon. Dr Archer Hosking, son of Dr W. H. Hosking, of Masterton, being married to Miss Dorothy Bennett, daughter of the late Mr Joseph Bennett, of Otahauo, Masterton. The Rev. AV. Haiue, of Wellington, assisted by tho Rev. Mr AVilliams, of Masterton, officiated. . The bride was attired in a rich ivory satin gown, made with a square train, tho bodice draped with beautiful old rose' point lace. She also wore an embroidered tulle veil fastened on the hair by two rows of pearls, and carried a bouquet of choice flowers and maidenhair fern. She was attended by four bridesmaids—tho Misses Wilmott . and Nora Bennett (sisters), Mies, Zona Vallance, and Mies Chris Hosking. The two firstnamed were dressed in , white satin frocks completely veiled with ninon, and smart black satin hats, and-.the other two white muslin robes over silk, and black satin hats, with wreaths in coloured flowers. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr G. J. Bennett, of Otahauo. Mr Ralph, Beethairt was, best man, and Hr AV. Bishworth, Dr McCrae, and Mr 11. Riddiford were the groomsmen. Over two hundred guests were present at the ceremony,- and afterwards the Misses Vallance entertained them at the Exchange Hall, where many happy speeches conveyed congratulations and good wishes to the happy couple. Subsequently Dr and Mrs Archer Hosking left for AVeUington, en route for Australia, where a three months’. honeymoon is to be spent. Miss Vallanco Was attired in a blue cloth braided gown, a black hat with’ white plumoe, and black furs; Miss B. Vallance, mol© braided dress with Oriental embroidered trimming, a mole toqne and seal stole; Mrs Ooom (sister of the bride), n becoming dress of pearl grey oharmeuse, with cream lac© and touches of pale bluo and pink, and a black plumed hat; Mrs Hosking was gowned in a handsome black satin costume trimmed with black embroidery and fringe, a black topue with white marabout: Mrs C. ■J. Bennett, costume with black hat; Mrs C. Vallanoe, a handsomely braided blown cloth dress, brown hat with orange trimming and furs; Mrs Erl Williams, a beautiful whit© lace gown with whit© feather boa and black and white hat.
