SAYS ROOSEVELT SWEEPING VICTORY IN TAFT’S HOME STATE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright NEW YORK, May 22. Columbus, Ohio, reports that returns show that Air Roosevelt secured thirty-two out of forty district delegates to the National Republican Con. vention of the State of Ohio. The vote at the Democratic Convention favoured Judge Harmon. Mr Taft is greatly disappointed at the loss of tho contest in his own State. Air Roosevelt, interviewed, expressed himself as delighted at the result, and declares that Ohio has settled the question of the Presidency. TAFT SAYS HE WILL WIN. (Received Alay 23, 11 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Alay 23. President Taft claims that 570 delegates will favour him in the Chicago Republican Convention, sufficient to secure the nomination for the Presidency.

Mr Roosevelt carried Ohio with a plurality of 25,000 votes. The Rooseveltian delegates numbered thirty-two and those for Taft ten.
