PRESERVING FRENCH BEANS.

Take a perfectly clean earthenware pan, and put into it a layer of French beaus, then a layer of salt, and so on, HU the jar is full. Cover and keep tjie jar where it will not be touched by the frost. Tho flavour of beans preserved in this way is wonderfully good. Before using, soak in cold water overnight, and slice in the ordinary way. The jat need not all be filled at one©, but the, beans oan be picked as they are ready and put into the jar. \
