THROWS A STOOL WHICH INJURES THE JUDGE. By Telegraph—Trust Association— Copyright. ( (Received December 10, 6.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 9. Thomas Field, burglar, while undergoing trial at Birmingham, hurled a stool which smashed Justice Ridley’s desk, wounding Justice Ridley in the face and knocking off his wig and spectacles. It is alleged that the ; stool was intended to strike a witness, whom the prisoner further threatened. Ho was sentenced to five years, besides completing an unexpired sentence o) 15 months.
