Mrs Hoggard arrived yesterday from Napier.
Mrs Percy Stewart (Spring Creek), who has been on a short visit to Wellington, returned yesterday.
Mr and Mrs J. M. Leigh (Napier) are staying at tho Windsor.
Mrs Kingdon (Feilding) is staying at the Occidental.
Miss Clifford and Miss Toohey (Sydney) left for Marlborough yesterday, and are going overland from there to Christchurch.
Mrs Balfour (Napier) is staying with Mrs Marchbanks.
Mrs and Miss Dixon are returning to Westport to-day.
Mr and Mrs, Hammond (Western Australia) aro staying at the Occidental.
Miss Scaly, who has been on a holiday visit to Nelson, has returned to Otaki.
Mr and Mrs Haggitt (Feilding) are staying at the Royal Oak.
Mrs A. A. Brown (Auckland) is leaving to-day for Nelson.
Mrs Menlove, who has been visiting in the north, returned yesterday to Marlborough.
Miss Jessie Knapp, who arrived from Wanganui yesterday, is leaving for Nelson to-day.
Miss Gilchrist (Wanganui) left for the South last evening.
Mrs J. W. Black (Waverley) is on q visit to Wellington. ‘
Mr and Mrs S. Fitzherbert (Palmerston) are visiting Wellington.
Miss Roy (New Plymouth) is the guest of Mrs Barton, at Trentham.
Mrs Kehhell (Waikanae) la visiting Wellington.
Mrs Latter (Greenhills) is staying .with Mrs Stewart.
Mr and Mrs Holgate (Rotorua) are staying at the Windsor.
Miss E. Broadbent (Carterton), who has been staying in Blenheim, returned yesterday.
A small exhibition of the work of Mrs McNeill (Mav Lingard) will be held in Butler's room next week, beginning on Monday. .
;• The ladies connected with the Church of England, at Eastbourne,; are holding; a sale of work in the Muritai Hall this afternoon and evening in aid of tho debt on the church.-
The fete in aid of the Richmond Free Kindergarten Schools will bo held this afternoon in tho grounds at Awarua House, but if tho weather makes this impossible the fete will take place in the Sydney street Schoolroom.
Quite a number of people were prosent' at tho cricket . match which took place at the Wellington College grounds yesterday, between the Headquarters Staff and the Wellington College. During the afternoon a string band played at intervals. Afternoon tea and refreshments were also dispensed. Some of those present ■ were—MesdameS Heard, Barnett, Stewart, Knox, Maidlow, Thornton, Hughes, Humea, Dymbck, Pearce, C. Pearce, Cbllins, Tweed, Gore, Fitchett, G. F. Campbell, Firth. Clifford, and lan Duncan, Messrs Harcourt, Eiddiford, Collins, and Pearce.
