Mr Sutton, a prominent member of the Licensed Victuallers’ Association declared that the New Zealand prohibi tion campaign was momentous; the world was watching and waiting for the answer. If New Zealand voted prohibition she would go tho same way as the prohibition States of the United States—namely, insolvent.
