FRUIT IMPORTATIONS
A record shipment of San Pranci#oo fruit with a big Consignment of Island fruit was landed at Wellington yesterday by the Maitai. The lot totalled 23,803 cases, comprising 17,000 cases of apples and oranges from. California, and 0800 cases of bananas from Earotonga. Tho bulk of the shipment is for Wellington, but lots were for transhipment to northern and southern ports.
