HOSPITAL MATTERS
Tho hospital committee of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board met yesterday, Mr It. G. Kirk presiding. Ihere wore present Messrs G. Nash, J G-odber, G- T. London, W. Tompsitt and J. W. McEwan.
The following recommendations were made:—
That a woman supervisor be appointed at .£IOO x )ei ‘ annum to supervise the laundry, take charge of linen room, and supervise tho domestic work:
That the back corridors between ward* 1 and 2, and 3 and 4 be converted into verandahs at a cost not exceeding A 135 each, in accordance with the recommendation of tho medical superintendent. That a letter of appreciation be sent to the \\ orking Men's Club, Petone, for tho donation of *£o 2s, being amount received from collection box.
That tho secretary (Mr W. R. Potter, of the Wellington G-as Company's orchestra he informed that the cost to endow a child’s cot is £250. Accounts amounting to .£4663 6s lOd were recommended for payment.
