THE INANGAHUA EXPLOSION
INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS
PI-.ESS ASSOCIATION. . ■WESTPORT, October 11. An inquest was held to-day on the bodies of Thomas Low and Timothy Corby, tho victims of the accident on the Westport-Inangahua Junction railway construotion works, whoso bodies were found in the river yesterday. No direct evidence as to how the accident occurred was obtainable, but it was stated that the explosion which caused the fatalities roust have been premature, as the customary warning was not given to those working near where the accident occurred. A verdict of accidental death caused by a premature explosion was returned.
