An elderly woman named Mary Collins, on being charged at the Magistrate’s Conrt yesterday with being an idle and disorderly person, having insufficient means of support, and with having damaged a cell bucket of the , value of 6s 9d, immediately became highly indignant. ”1 don’t plead guilty," she said, “because they had no right to bring me here. I want a remand until Thursday.” His Worship (Mr IV. G. Riddell): Do you want to engage counsel? The accused: 1411018 counsel? , His Worship: Well,' do you want to get a solicitor? "That’s my business.” sharply answered the accused, “1 want a remand!” “Very well,” said his Worship, "accused will be remanded until Thursday."
