WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY.
The Wellington Presbytery met at St. John's Church yesterday morning. Present, —Revs.- L. -Thompson (Moderator), W. Douglas, J. K. Elliott. W. J. Corarie, W. Shlrer, R. Inglis, B. Hutson, J. Gibson Smith, A. C. W. Standage, Dr Gibb, and Messrs W. Finlayson, J. Johnston, T. C. Brash, and W, A. Patterson.
On the motion ,of the Rev. W. Gibson Smith, seconded by Mr T. C. Brash, the Rev. A. Cameron. of Anderson's Bay, Dunedin, was nominated as Moderator of the General Assemblyfor 1912-1913. The Rev. A. C. W. Standage was appointed an additional representative to the General Assembly in Dunedin. it was resolved that, in view of the misleading impression intended to bo conveyed bv the u?o in tho public press of the Dominion of tho names and opinions of men associated with the Presbyterian Church, the Presbytery reaffirms its steady adheranco to tho belief that the abolition of the liquor traffic is the best practical method available in New Zealand to-day for dealing with this great social evil.
